THIS MONTH'S LEARNING SPOTLIGHT
FIVE WAYS TO CREATE A COZY FALL ATMOSPHERE
Each fall, fragrance takes a more dominant role in our environments. Even people who arenβt obsessed with fragrance (if you can believe they even exist) notice and love classic fall fragrances. A heightened awareness of autumnal fragrance may be due to a desire for coziness, combined with increased time spent indoors with aromas that are sometimes, um, homey, plus the naturally good-smelling hallmarks of the season β like cranberry, cinnamon and pumpkin.
Whatever your reason, we get it: You want to maximize your fall home fragrance before pumpkin spice season ends. Take a look at our guide to scenting your home this autumn β or just click the button below to jump right in!
No. 1: Choose Your Fragrance
With so many delectable options, selecting your signature scents can be intimidating. If you want to try something new, start with what you know. Try a fragrance with notes you love β maybe vanilla, cedar or clove β but that also has unfamiliar notes that spark interest β like pear, ginger or dewy greens. If Johnny Appleseed was your go-to scent in summer, try Apple Spice Season, with notes of juicy apple, harvest pumpkin and sparkling spices. Or if your nose is drawn to the classic Sunkissed Citrus, give Sparkling Spiced Citrus a shot, where juicy mandarin meets black currant and clove bud.
If you want to experiment even more, use the fragrance families as your guide. Stick to scents in a fragrance family you adore, or explore scents from neighboring families. For example, if you love Cider Mill, found in the spice family, branch out by trying scents from the similar-but-different bakery and woods families.
No. 2: Place Fragrance Mindfully
Determine where you need fragrance in your home (besides the obvious answer: everywhere). Living spaces, bathrooms, entry halls and bedrooms all benefit from fragrance. Donβt forget less obvious places that might be a bit musty, like closets, sports bags and cars.
Next, decide which scent systems work best for various areas in your home:
No. 3: Create Rituals
A new season means new habits. While youβre evaluating your current routines and prioritizing goals for fall, decide how to incorporate fragrance into your daily schedule. When you wake up, switch on your Warmer or Diffuser. If you make time to meditate in the evening, select a calming scent. Use fragrance as a subtle cue to get into the right mentality, whether itβs time for work, play or relaxation.
No. 4: Indulge in Culinary Fragrances
Whatβs cozier than homemade cider? A mug of warm cocoa? A pumpkin pie with a flaky crust? Treats that you make with your own hands are extra satisfying. Set a goal to whip up your own baked goods this fall, especially ones that fill your home with delicious aromas. Check out these fall recipes to get started! Between baking sessions, when the smell of oven-baked goodies has faded, warm a Scentsy fragrance in the bakery category to capture that same ambience.
No. 5: Coordinate Fragrance and Fall DΓ©cor
If your home smells cozy, it should look cozy, too. Bring out your squishiest throw pillows, your snuggliest blankets, your thickest rugs. Use accent lamps and Scentsy Warmers to give your space a soft, atmospheric glow. Try a brand new Warmer like Golden Grain or Constellations (my current fave), or use a proven favorite like Aziza or Forest Light.
How are you making your home cozy for the season?

Dawn's fave things Corner
Just a chance to get to know me a little better, bestie!
Currently reading:
βThe Unhoneymooners by Christina Laurenβ
So, as it turns out, I finished book 2 AND book 3, and thus the whole Crescent City series and Sarah J Maas universe that exists so far since my last email to you. 10/10 would recommend all her books - read in the order she says, of course. :)
But then I needed a fantasy book palette cleanser, so I snagged this cutie from Kindle Unlimited and am breezing through it. A little romcom action and very Hallmark cutesy movie vibes. An easy beach read, as we call them, with a funny storyline and likable characters!
Currently EATING:
I may have shared this before, but we had it recently and it's worth mentioning again if I did. You must try this crustless quiche!!!
This one is a gem, because you can literally adjust the ingredients however you want! We've added breakfast sausage (cooked first), we love the potatoes always, various types of peppers, squash, etc. Use what's in season and enjoy this any time! BONUS: This is also leftover approved by Dan AND Dawn (and I'm picky about leftovers!).
CURRENTLY BAKING:
Fall hit (even if it didn't feel like it) and I wanted PUMPKIN! Pumpkin bread it was and this was INSANE. So moist and soft and fluffy and full of fall flavor. BONUS TIP: Stir in some butterscotch chips as the last step - I promise you won't regret it!
(P.S. If you're not a sourdough person, sub the discard for the same weight in equal parts flour+water!)
A cheesy DAD joke for you!
